Its been along time between blogs, but a couple of very cool things have caught my eye…
The latest (thats 5th folks) issue of Peppermint is totally rocking. Australia’s very own eco fashion mag has some tips on having a green wedding, a tablecloth to skirt pattern, some wonderful interviews and insight into eco artists world wide, some very cool eco fashion…and this gem from the naughty corner, which blew me away
quote ” It seems of late, Lucas Paw Paw Ointment has attained semi-cult status. You would be hard pressed not to know at least one person who has that little red container lurking in the bottom of their handbag. But here at Peppermint we heard some worrisome whispers. We couldn’t rest without knowing: could it be that precious little paw paw product is filled with petroleum jelly? Well yes, beauty sleuths, I’m afraid its true”………they go onto recommend some beautiful organic lip balms, that more then replace, what was once my favourite product! Get this latest issue at (which is carbon neutral, printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper and donating proceeds to ‘Save the Children Haiti Earthquake Emergency Appeal’) your favourite newsagent, and if its not there ask for them to get it in!.
Next on the list is BeaDivine’s blog ‘from the blue shed‘. Their she talks about her latest jewelry creations (more on that soon), gives patterns and inspiration for a wide variety of very cool projects (reversible scrappy girls headscarf..with a peak anyone?) and some delicious healthy recipes, but my favorite is the transformation of an old derelict caravan into a gypsy wonderland for her girls..check it out!!!
Whilst surfing, have a look at Robins etsy site, she has some wonderful jewelry made from beautiful vintage china..tea party couture.
thanks friends…or my Acadamy Award Speech

Well, after counting millions (i exaggerate) shirts, putting seeds in packets, photographing bubba’s (very tiring) and sending orders to stores, eco peko’s new range is up and running! The response has been fantastic ( i was in a store the other day, showing samples to the store manager and a customer came up and brought one from the counter!), and why wouldn’t it
For part of the success, I wanted to thank the very talented Tim Pritchard of ‘Aarfie’ , he made an anxiety building chore to a walk in a park (on a sun dappled field of brilliant yellow daisies…yes, he is that good!). I speak of building my website. The genius that is Tim, is displayed on this very easily navigated site. He understood my concept and gave me more than I could have expected. He gave me insite to the world of blogs, search engines and online shops. He made adjustments instantly and has since helped me with e-forms. I cannot recommend him enough (he’s open for business in August 2009, at www.aarfie.com) and will answer any questions about his services at info@ecopeko.com.
I also wanted to thank my friend and Levi’s girlfriends mum Kiely. Not only has she listened to me rabbit on about eco peko constantly, she took photo’s of lots of budding super models in eco peko attire. She even photographed us marching in the ‘Say No to GMO’ rally and breast fed on the steps of Government house (you go girl). Kiely is also the artist behind my eco baby range. She drew the cute baby holding a beetroot, saving water and saying no to plastic. I also wanted to thank my sister and my friend’s Nicole, Judy and Alex, for lending an ear when asked. And last but not least my partner in crime John for helping me to see reason and not get carried away and for listening to me for the millionth time about eco peko……oh and also the Academy….
