free money!!!

17 March, 2011

Its that time of year again, where The Perth Upmarket presents another amazing event at UWA in Perth.

I have a new home this year at Perth Upmarket. It’s upstairs of the Winthrop Hall, along with the very groovy Pigeonhole, clever recycling Stepmums, gorgeous hat makers Foal Design, the beautiful bag and wallet makers BHO and a whole heap more….I am so excited!!

I will have all the t-shirts on display (including the new chocolate ones), which come in both short and long sleeves, along with bamboodies, organic denim jeans, happy daks and bibs.

As a celebration of our new digs, I would like to give you some free money..(yay)…. to be spent at the eco peko pop-up shop, this Sunday at Perth Upmarket. Just print out the bill and use it to buy whatever you want at the stall. There is only one bill per customer and the money must be used on the 20th March 2011 at the market.

i look forward to seeing you there

all the best

Spring is in the Air… everywhere I look around

10 October, 2010

What a beautiful day, after another beautiful day (in WA)!

Yesterday, the bubs, hub and I went to South Beach in Freo, and experienced a still, warm and languid day on the beach (and a very crisp dip in the sea). And then today, we awoke to a lovely light rain. It greened up everything and made the blossoms on our orange tree and lime tree really fragrant…..love the smell of blossoms in the morning…

I just love Spring :)

get a dwarf one like this for your backyard..they rockits between the apricot and orange tree

So as a Spring Special, and to make way for some lovely new clothes, I’m wanting to have a Spring Sale of t-shirts, samples, seconds and cardboard toys, as well as cheeky little discounts on some new stuff……and would love to ask your opinion, so I can have the best sale for you….

the question is….

Would you rather attend a private sale at;

  1. a house, with nibbles and kids play things…week-day in the morning
  2. a community garden, with inspiring veggie projects and stuff for the kids to get involved with….Saturday morning
  3. online on a Face Book Garage Sale…week-night from 7

If you would like to win the best sun-shirt ever for bubs…the bamboodie. (RRP $49.95)…reply to this post and share your opinion (1,2 or 3 or variations there of) on either

AND!!!!…the winning reply will win the best sunshirt for this summer…. the bamboodie….to be drawn Sunday 17th October.

Thanks for your support of eco peko :)

All the Best

Justine

Its that time again….

9 September, 2010

This Sunday heralds the Spring edition of Perth Upmarket, and it’s looking to be the best one yet. The very clever Justine Barsley, is providing us with entertainers & music, painting workshops for kids, more cupcakes and coffee and 140 of the best designers, artists, gourmet’s and craftsmen in Perth (and quite a few out of Perth).

Eco Peko will be in the Junior section (Hackett Hall), with our pop up eco store. We will be selling samples and discontinued tee’s for crazy low prices as well as this summers must have sun-shirt for babies…the bamboodie (its a light, floaty bamboo hoodie, with really high uv reflection) So drop by, say hi, and enter our little competition (you can win a pair of organic denim jeans..worth $69.95)

It’s looking to be a sunny day on Sunday, so what better way to spend it, than popping down to UWA, check out some great handmade and original wares, sit back on the grass and take it all in.

King & Queen of the Vegie Patch

18 August, 2010

Something that I am very proud to sponsor is the unique King & Queen of the Vegie Patch Competition.

king 1

This is a photo entry competition for babies (up to 18months old), who have been photographed with a vegie patch theme (love it!!). Think baby holding some vegies or even popping bub into your very own vegie garden.

We know growing your own food is a great learning step for nutrition & understanding food miles for kids (which in turn helps us understand so many important enviromental issues), so its got points already. I love that the competition isn’t for the best photography, or even a beauty contest, but for a bub in a vegie patch scene.

The prizes are eco fantastic, with eco peko supplying bamboodies, organic tee’s and happy daks for the King and Queen, as well as prizes from Agoo, Bowtique, Love Bytes (we are talking an amazing photography shoot of the winning bubs…I love this girls work, its colour saturated and really unique..this will be worth winning alone..the picture above is an example of her work), Modern Cloth Nappies from Bonnibuns , Lil Rockers, About a Boy & La Toriana

There is also prizes for the 6 runner up boys and 6 runner up girls (there are only 6 entries so far!!!) Of which all the sponsors are popping something in (we are adding a super big organic bib, valued at $22.95 to each runner up, so even the runner up prizes will be good)

So if you or someone you know has a little eco baby that loves to get photographed (must be 18 months or under and have a vegie themed photo), enter now as its still anyones game. The final date to enter is next Monday the 23rd, so get your skates on…click on the link King & Queen of the Vegie Patch , and away you go :)

The timing is absolutely perfect, as our new range arrives this week.

Comprising of organic denim jeans, bamboodie (it’s a trans-seasonal bamboo hoodie), organic happy daks, organic cotton super big bib and our ever popular organic teeshirts, with a cute eco bag.

eco peko sale!

15 June, 2010

Starting Friday, Sale Instyle will be offering eco peko tee’s up to 70% off.

Touted as the site that offers Private Sales of Home Interiors and Kids & Lifestyle products, it’s the brainchild of Valerie, who has done an amazing job of connecting with designers and seeking end of season, or in eco peko’s case, sample stock. There are loads of products from Life Instyle that I recognize, so expect high quality at never (never!) seen before prices.

You have to be a member to buy, so click on the link and join (they have lots of very cool stuff for sale). Let them know eco peko sent you!

On another new discovery……I picked up a beautiful glossy yesterday (and it was free!) and noticed eco peko peeking through the fashion pages (very pleasing).

It’s a new magazine for WA families and is a welcome addition to our shores. It has great birthing stories and information, as well travel, nutrition and many other tips (and did I say its free!!!). Join their face book fan page for magazine locations and updates.
